~delicious for paws and pawrents~

*5 Ripe, Firm Bananas
(you can use bananas that are starting to brown, but I find the texture hard to work with)
*2 cups Sugar Free, Natural peanut butter
1 cup carob chips (optional)
1 cup water
2 tbsp lemon juice
spray bottle

Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Slice banana into 1/2" thick circles and place on parchment paper. Mix water & lemon juice in the spray bottle and spray banana pieces until wet, but not drenched. Place baking tray in freezer for 30 - 60 min until bananas are quite firm. (This step is to prevent the bananas from taking on that icky brown colour. If the icky colour doesn't bother you - this step can be skipped with little change in flavour).

Slightly melt peanut butter over a double boiler, so that it is the consistency of thick melted chocolate. Using a fork, dip bananas into the melted peanut butter and place back on the parchment lined baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle carob chips over them while the coating is still wet. Return to freezer until coating has frozen solid and you are ready to eat them.

This recipe is also delicious when made with the yogurt melting chips that can be found at most grocery or baking shops.
