*1 cup Plain Rolled Oats
*1/3 cup Mashed Banana
*1 cup Boiling Water
*3/4 Rice Polenta or Rice Grits
(or corn meal for dogs that can tolerate it)
*2 teaspoons ground Bok Bok Chewies
(or low sodium boullion)
*1 teaspoon honey
1/2 cup milk
*1 1/3 cup shredded cheese
(We use whatever mom has kicking around -
I like the Kraft Italiano, Felix likes Sharp cheddar)
*1 egg
* 2 - 3 c. Kolchak's Favourite Flour Mix

Preheat oven to 325F.

In large bowl, combine rolled oats, mashed banana and boiling water; let stand 10 minutes. Stir in polenta/grits, honey, Bok Boks, milk, 1 cup cheese and egg; mix well. Add flour 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition to form dough.

Knead in remaining flour until dough is smooth and no longer sticky (about 3 to 4 minutes). Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness, cut with cookie cutters for shapes or cut into squares with a knife. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the cookies.

Place treats 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. For crunchy, hard treats - turn off heat and leave treats in oven overnight.
